This is a heart and arrow drawn by 3 Kiran MK II trainer jets during SuryaKiran aerobatic show at Aeroshow 2007. You can see the three aircraft as mere dots in the image... It would have been a better pic if there were no clouds.

Went to Aeroshow again today. Traffic was horrible and took around 2hrs to reach and more 2hrs to get back home... after clicking around 80 pics, the CF card got corrupt. I am not sure if I will be able to restore the pics from that card or not...

SuryaKiran is an aerobatic team, part of Indian Air Force. The show was simply superb. The formations that were displayed manoeuvering between speeds of 150 and 650 Kmph with their wing tips a mere 5 metres were breathtaking.

A romancing pair of rose-ringed parakeets (Psittcula Krameri). The one with a disctinctive rosy-pink and black collar around its neck is the male. Females lack this collar and will have pale emerald green around their necks.

Made to BharatPur bird sanctuary this weekend. Weather was perfect and we managed to spot a variety of birds. Will upload more photos soon.

control key on my macintosh keyboard

Tegu bought a Nikon f.28D 105mm macro lens on friday. I was trying it out on my Nikon D70 and my first impression on it is... an absolutely amazing lens. It has got crystal clear optics and I really loved the shallow depth of field that you can achieve for macro shots. need to start saving money now... this lens definitely is going to be my next buy :)...

Went to Hollywood walk of fame after Day1 of PDC. Since we were staying in unviversal city, we took a metro to this place... just roamed around seeing the stars on the sidewalk and clicking photos. saw a couple of street dance performances and went to hollywood wax museum.... here are some of the pics... starting with Hardy (of Laurel and Hardy fame)..

Was in LA last week attending Microsoft's PDC05 (Professional Developer Conference). It was a real hectic week and I haven't got any time to post pictures.

Long time since I've posted a photo on this blog. It is partly because of work and partly because I was too lazy to take out the camera and shoot pictures. Was in Bangalore recently (17th Aug) and was walking around MG Road thinking of days I've spent there during my PS-II (from July - Dec 1999) and saw this beautiful rainbow. Although I couldn't capture it properly this is the best I could do. I am currently on a two week long vacation and will be back in Delhi on 29th of this month.

tried my hand at long exposures... this photo is a 22 minute (1324 second exposure) using a Canon Digital Rebel at f29 aperture. Had a lot of hotpixels in this photos. used Dust & scratches filter in Photoshop for removing the hotpixels. btw, I implemented the Dust & Scratches filter in Adobe AfterEffects

Panaroma of Himalaya Darshan Point at Nainital... On a clear day it seems we can see a wide range of snow-clad Himalayas... This panorama is made using 5 different photos using Photoshop Elements 3.0...
Should have shot the photos with manual settings to avoid the blending problem towards the left of the image....
